Fishbowl Solutions® releases DXF Flat Pattern Automation for Pro|ENGINEER®
DXF Flat Pattern automates manual tasks associated with creating DXF output for downstream sheet metal fabrication processes
Minneapolis — March 30, 2007 — Fishbowl Solutions, a leading technology consulting and software development firm supplying solutions to the manufacturing industry, announced the release of DXF Flat Pattern Automation for Pro|ENGINEER (DXF FPA). DXF Flat Pattern frees up engineers’ time so they can focus on value-added tasks.
Manufacturing companies typically rely on CAD users to create DXF output from Pro|ENGINEER for downstream sheet metal fabrication. Though the creation of DXF files is often required for manufacturing purposes, it is a non-value added task. DXF Flat Pattern automates DXF creation of a 1:1 flat pattern from every Pro|ENGINEER sheet metal part in an assembly.

DXF Flat Pattern Automation for Pro|ENGINEER allows companies to:

• Eliminate or greatly reduce the time spent with DXF creation.
• Automate the DXF creation of a 1:1 flat pattern for every Pro|ENGINEER sheet metal part in an assembly.
• Launch DXF Flat Pattern directly from Pro|ENGINEER or
• Run DXF Flat Pattern as a server side process that automatically executes upon an event like “Promote” to “Released” within Pro/INTRALINK or Windchill PDMLink.
