FISHBOWL SOLUTIONS RELEASES SITE STUDIO TOOLBOX™ FOR ORACLE WEB CONTENT MANAGEMENT (STELLENT)
Site Studio Toolbox speeds up Oracle Web Content Management (WCM) implementations, reducing cost and increasing functionality.
Minneapolis—December 11, 2008—Fishbowl Solutions, Inc., a software, services and consulting company, delivering solutions for Oracle® Web Content Management (WCM), has released Site Studio Toolbox for Oracle WCM.
Implementing a website through Oracle WCM has gained popularity over the last few years, and with that Oracle’s Site Studio—the tool used to build and contribute content to Oracle WCM sites. Fishbowl has delivered several WCM implementations and in the process has run into many common challenges. Although Site Studio has robust functionality, taking advantage of it is difficult because all of the components must be manually built or coded; making it a time consuming and resource intensive project.
To combat these challenges Fishbowl has developed Site Studio Toolbox, an out-of-the-box solution, to jumpstart an implementation by addressing these common challenges and requested features seen in most implementations. Site Studio Toolbox contains pre-written code that acts as a starting point for an implementation and contains the most requested features, including an event calendar inside of the Site Studio website, the ability to override the default error page to stay consistent with the look and feel of the site, and access to a contribution and consumption server without the need to train users to access multiple servers.
All of Site Studio Toolbox’s current features include:
• Default Calendar Fragment for use in organizing and accessing ‘events’ through the use of a javascript calendar utilizing the Yahoo User Interface Library component.
• Default News/Press Release fragment that provides default fragment code, sample templates, and documentation for technical implementation and contribution instructions for the end user.
• Contribution redirect functionality allowing the end user to access contribution mode from the production server by automatically redirecting the user to the contribution instance when using the ‘Ctrl+Shift+F5’ key combo.
• Helper script functions to aid in creation of navigation and streamline end user contribution.
• Error Handler fragment and additional template overrides utilizing Oracle’s Extranet Look component to prevent a user from inadvertently accessing the underlying content server from a Site Studio based website.
