FISHBOWL SOLUTIONS RELEASES ADVANCED USER SECURITY MAPPING™ 5.0 FOR ORACLE UNIVERSAL CONTENT MANAGEMENT (STELLENT)
Map security between LDAP and Active Directory and Oracle Universal Content Management (Stellent).
Minneapolis—December 1, 2008—Fishbowl Solutions, Inc., a software, services and consulting company delivering solutions for Oracle® Universal Content Management has released Advanced User Security Mapping™ 5.0.
Creating a security structure in Oracle UCM Content Server is time consuming and confusing. Much of this is due to organizations managing multiple security sources. Advanced User Security Mapping (AUSM) eliminates much of the confusion by leveraging the security structure already set up in LDAP or Active Directory (AD), so organizations do not have to create additional security structures. AUSM’s mapping feature set is enhanced in the 5.0 version. One of the key new features dynamically assigns accounts and roles based on an attribute. For example, a large health services provider wanted to create personal accounts for every user in their system. Instead of creating groups or rules for each of their 20,000 users, AUSM allowed them to create a single rule that dynamically assigned an account to that user based on their user name.
Advanced User Security Mapping’s current features also include the ability to:
• Create rules to map attributes, groups, and organizational units to roles/accounts/aliases.
• Create exceptions to the rules to deny access
• Reduce the number of rules by dynamically assigning roles/accounts/aliases based on attributes
• Simulate user log-in to debug permission issues
• Retrieve the list of users and access levels for security group and account combinations
• Synchronize and refresh users with either LDAP/AD or Oracle UCM as the source
