Fishbowl Solutions Releases Workflow Solution Set™ version 2.5 for Oracle® UCM (Stellent)
Workflow Solution Set simplifies and improves Oracle UCM workflows for both end users and administrators
Minneapolis, MN — March 17, 2008 —Fishbowl Solutions, Inc., a leading technology consulting and software development firm and Oracle Partner announced today the release of Workflow Solution Set™ 2.5. Workflow Solution Set is a suite of add-on components and tools for enhancing Oracle UCM workflows.
Workflow Solution Set helps companies get up and running quickly with Oracle Universal Content Management (UCM) workflows. It delivers the following benefits:
• Workflow Solution Set provides auditing of workflows both during and after they are complete, delivering a permanent history of workflow comments as well as better visibility into what is happening with content in workflow (e.g. if it is sitting at a certain step for several days). This information is otherwise not readily available.
• Workflow Solution Set can assist in simplifying the workflow interface (which can often be confusing or daunting) for end users of the system.
• Workflow Solution Set can dramatically improve the performance of the system when there are hundreds of items in a workflow.
Fishbowl Solutions, an expert on Oracle UCM Workflows, has been designing, implementing, and supporting Oracle (formerly Stellent) workflows since 1999. After encountering the same issues again and again, Fishbowl developed Workflow Solution Set. The product suite is supported and enhanced so companies have lower risk when adding the functionality to Oracle UCM versus as a custom service offering. Workflow Solution Set includes the following features / components:
Workflow in Queue – This component delivers a detailed view of relevant workflow information and quick access to content in the workflow queue.
Workflow History – Once content is through a workflow, the history of the workflow is no longer readily available. Workflow History delivers a detailed and permanent history of workflows including rejection comments.
Approve with Comments – The component allows users to enter approval comments at workflow steps.
Workflow Search – This component locates content that is in workflow easily – even when users don’t know which workflow it is in. Workflow Search also delivers insight into all content in workflow, along with the number of days it has been at each step.
Custom Email Notification – This component customizes the basic, out-of-the-box Oracle workflow e-mail so users can give explicit instructions based on criteria such as: workflow; step; reviewer, etc.
Update Release Date – This component updates the content release date so it reflects the day content is actually approved and released form workflow (and not the date it was originally checked into Content Server).
Workflow Review Pane Customization – This component customizes the workflow review panes through a graphical interface so users can specify step-specific instructions, links and actions that are available at each step or for an entire workflow.
Paged Workflow Items – This component changes the default Content Server behavior to only query and display 20 items at a time which can significantly improve system performance.
Workflow Timeout Helper – This component allows easy implementation of time-out and escalation scripts that can include weekdays and business hours.
