linkAccess Trigger Frequently Asked Questions
1. How is linkAccess Trigger licensed?
The base price for this software provides PDF generation from a single CAD worker for a single Windchill server instance. There are costs associated with additional file output types and multiple CAD workers. You are also required to own sufficient Windchill View and Print licenses to cover the number of anticipated consumers of the generated PDFs in order to stay in compliance with your PTC licensing agreement.
2. How is linkAccess Trigger priced?
PDF generation for a single CAD worker on a single Windchill server has a base price, but additional modules are available. Yearly maintenance is 20% of the list price of the software.
3. Is linkAccess Trigger compatible with PDMLink 9.0 and future 9.1 release?
We support all releases of PDMLink and Pro/INTRALINK 8.0 and 9.0, and anticipate support for 9.1 when it becomes available.
4. Does Fishbowl have experience with saving data to sharepoint sites/network drives or multiple sites, depending on PDMLink Product or Library source?
The default mode of operation is saving to network drives. We have current customer implementations with integrations to SharePoint in place. In these implementations the network drives are treated as "Watch folders", and when output files with corresponding metadata appear they are published into Sharepoint. Our expertise lies in publishing the data from Windchill. The "Watch folder" functionality to pick up these files and push them into Sharepoint was provided by a Sharepoint services provider. We can make their contact information available to you upon request.
5. Does Fishbowl have experience with overwriting files?
Our software provides the ability to define names rules to include revision, iteration, and lifecycle state in the filename to avoid naming conflicts. We can also simply overwrite previous output with the latest version if that is your desire. We also have the ability to attach the generated PDF files back in Windchill and attach them to the original object as secondary content if desired.
6. What operating systems does linkAccess Trigger support?
We currently support both Windows and Solaris Operating systems; support for additional UNIX systems may be available upon request.
