Often, the purchasing department within an organization must pull engineering resources from design to generate PDF, IGES, STEP, DXF, or native Pro/ENGINEER® data, which is sent out for bid or manufacturing. This distraction decreases productivity and wastes time that could be spent on value-added activities.
Fishbowl Solutions’ eSupplier automates the process of delivering CAD data stored in Pro/INTRALINK to external suppliers through an easy-to-use web interface.
With eSupplier, companies can:
• Specify parts, assemblies and drawings to send to a supplier from a simple web page.
• Send multiple files to one supplier or multiple files to multiple suppliers, all from one simple interface.
• Select the supplier from a drop down list – utilizing a database pre-populated with their individual supplier details, including preferred file types.
• Automatically publish the deliverables in the designated vendor-preferred format (ex. PDF, IGES, STEP, or DXF), move them to an FTP server, and e-mail the respective vendor when files are available.
