Industry statistics state that for every one person creating data there are ten others who need to access it. However, with the complexity of today’s Engineering environment and utilities, having easy access to this data has never been more challenging. Organizations utilizing Pro/INTRALINK have an advantage because their data is under control in a central repository. Having control over the data means it can be shared safely and securely with individuals outside of engineering, but Pro/INTRALINK simply does not allow for easy or inexpensive enterprise access to it. The net result is that Engineering is still tasked with manually searching, gathering, and converting the data for those outside of their department.
Fishbowl Solutions has developed several utilities to aid in the integration of Pro/INTRALINK with external applications. eTools complements and optimizes your Pro/INTRALINK system by automating information capture and integrity, enterprise-wide distribution, and connectivity to other business systems. These utilities can be configured to automatically export deliverables and metadata from Pro/INTRALINK so that they can be imported into enterprise applications such as Teamcenter and SmartTeamTM.
The eTools suite includes:
• eAccess Trigger
Automatically create deliverables upon designated milestones in Pro/INTRALINK. eAccess is initiated by a triggered event in Pro/INTRALINK, such as Check in, Promote or RTP Approval.
• synchAccess
A command line application that can be launched manually or by an external application to export deliverables stored in Pro/INTRALINK.
• XmlTrigger
Supports the generation of object attribute information and assembly BOM information in XML format on Check in, Promote, or RTP Approval.
• ePromote
A command line application that may be launched manually or by an external application. ePromote can be used to promote/demote and lock/unlock Pro/INTRALINK objects.
• eQryXml
A command line application that can be used to query the Pro/INTRALINK Commonspace. eQryXml may be launched manually or by an external application.
• eLogin
A simple command line application that can be used to verify a Pro/INTRALINK username/password.
