Built on the industry leading Oracle platform, and compatible with Oracle ECM 10g and 11g, our Fishbowl Portal Integration Suite allows for easy integration between Oracle Universal Content Management and Portal technologies.  This enables you to consolidate your architecture and leverage Portal E2.0 functionality like Enterprise Mashups, RSS feeds, Blogs, Wikis and collaboration knowledge systems.

Our solution leverages the strength of the Oracle platform to store and secure content in Oracle UCM and serve it up to end users through a portal view. We leverage personalization to display content in the portal view based on attributes of the consumer. This allows end users to see the most pertinent content related to them.

Our solution implements Portlets we created and support to meet JSR286 standards so they can be reused across multiple sites enabling quick setup, rollout, and management. These Portlets enable two types of functionality:

1. WYSIWYG Editing for quick and intuitive in context contribution, creation and review.  There are no disruptive experiences.  This means that casual users easily take to the system allowing you to kill your learning curve.  No expensive end-user training required.
2. Query based and dynamic content display from your UCM system. Users are able to easily define what content from the UCM system should display on each page, how it should look and how they want it to be personalized. This assists in their ability to recall where important knowledge is located.  It also boosts the precision of searching and navigation by pulling the most relevant information into the user experience at the right time.

UCM Snippet portlet: Single content item consumption and presentation

CISContentRetrieval library: Wrapper class to make calls to UCM via CIS easier to use

The portlets are deployed as:

• WAR file for Liferay and Websphere
• EAR file for WebCenter
  • EAR contains a specially built version of the WAR that makes enabled the portlets to be a WSRP Producer
