Fishbowl Solutions, a consulting services and software development company specializing in solutions for Oracle WebCenter, Parametric Technology Corporation’s (PTC) Windchill and Creo software products, and Google Search was announced a winner of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal Fast 50 for 2016.

President Tim Gruidl largely attributes Fishbowl’s growth to the number and size of employee digital workplace portal projects the company has worked on. An employee digital workplace portal integrates tools and technologies most frequently used by employees – including collaboration systems, human resource applications, and mobile devices – with an enterprise portal, such as Oracle WebCenter. This provides employees with a single view into the information and systems they need to do their jobs most effectively – regardless of time, space, or device. More companies are implementing digital workplace portals to better engage their employees and ensure ultimate productivity, which in turn can lead to more profit.

Adding to this growth was the release of ControlCenter in 2015. ControlCenter is the industry’s first comprehensive controlled document management solution that extends the content management capabilities of Oracle WebCenter. It provides tight management controls for critical business documents such as policies, standard operating produces, and work instructions, and enables access to content from desktops, tablets, and smartphones. A large electrical contractor in California, as well as a Minneapolis-based construction and real estate development firm purchased ControlCenter in 2015.

To qualify for the Fast 50, companies must be an independently owned private company, be headquartered in the Twin Cities metro area, and have at least $1 million in annual revenue from 2013 to 2015 while attesting year-over-year revenue growth during that period.

The Fast 50 award list was formally announced on October 14th, 2016 and published in the October 19th issue of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
