Fishbowl Solutions announces beta release of the Oracle WebCenter Content Connector for the Mindbreeze InSpire enterprise search appliance

Fishbowl Solutions, an Oracle WebCenter Content and Portal Specialized Partner, and Oracle Cloud Standard Partner, has announced the beta release of their Oracle WebCenter Content Connector for the Mindbreeze InSpire. The Connector enables the Mindbreeze enterprise search appliance to index and serve content stored in Oracle WebCenter Content. The Connector will also allow WebCenter customers to leverage the Mindbreeze Search App Designer and expose a customized, enterprise search experience within WebCenter Content.

The connector provides WebCenter customers with a relevancy rich alternative to WebCenter’s built-in Oracle Text Search and deprecated Secure Enterprise Search technologies. With the sunsetting of the Google Search Appliance (GSA) announced last year, the connector also provides a search migration path for customers using the GSA with Oracle WebCenter Content.

Highlights of the connector include:

• Ability to index document full text and metadata from WebCenter Content
• Authorization support for WebCenter Content security groups, accounts, and access control lists (ACLs)
• Seamless authentication between WebCenter Content and Mindbreeze InSpire
• Ability to embed multiple Mindbreeze search apps within WebCenter Content

Mindbreeze InSpire is offered as an on-premise or cloud-hosted search appliance to unite business facts from organizational data sources into one unified semantic index. InSpire can connect with most enterprise information out of the box, including network shares, SharePoint, and leading databases. With Fishbowl’s connector, any data source indexed by Mindbreeze is also searchable within WebCenter Content creating a consolidated enterprise search experience.
