Fishbowl Solutions, a Google Cloud partner, has announced the general availability of their XML Feed Connector for Google Cloud Search. The XML Feed Connector enables comprehensive indexing of XML feeds based on the specification made popular by the now-deprecated Google Search Appliance.
The Connector includes support for full, incremental, and metadata-and-url feed types often used to create custom integrations between various proprietary data sources. The Connector also enables metadata mapping from the feed source into the Cloud Search structured data format in order to provide a highly relevant experience to search users.
With this connector, GSA customers can continue using their existing custom feeds without refactoring them to work with the new Cloud Search SDK. This reduces the time and effort to migrate from GSA to Cloud Search.
Google Cloud Search with third-party indexing is generally available both as a G Suite Enterprise feature and as a standalone product called Google Cloud Search Platform. The XML Feed Connector for Google Cloud Search is available directly from Fishbowl Solutions. Fishbowl Solutions is a long-time GSA implementer, Premier Search Partner, and Google Cloud Search reseller.
