Fishbowl Solutions Announces Release of Subscription Notifier Version 4.0 for Oracle WebCenter Content

Latest Release Includes Updated User Interface and More Options for Scheduling and Sending Email Notifications

FISHBOWL HEADQUARTERS, MINNEAPOLIS, MN – August 21, 2014

News Facts

• Fishbowl Solutions, a consulting services and software development company specializing in solutions for Oracle WebCenter, Parametric Technology Corporation’s (PTC) Windchill and Creo software products, and the Google Search Appliance, has announced the release of Subscription Notifier Version 4.0 for Oracle WebCenter.

• Subscription Notifier is a value-add software solution that enables administrators and advanced users to create subscriptions for tracking and managing business content stored in Oracle WebCenter. It is being used by numerous WebCenter customers to notify owners and authors of web content, contracts, policies, and sales collateral when content is a certain number of days old, is set to expire, or needs review. These systematic email notifications help ensure that such high-value content is proactively updated.

• Subscription Notifier also includes robust “side-effect” capabilities including the ability to update metadata, initiate a workflow, or update an external database based on a query. For example, side effects may be used to send content that is about to expire into workflow where it can be updated and/or archived in WebCenter.

• The release of Version 4.0 introduces the ability to attach native or web-viewable files to notification emails. This feature enables organizations to provide notifications of expiration to content stakeholders that don’t have access to WebCenter or are not part of the organization, such as outside vendors that need to review the terms of a service contract. Additional email capabilities include the ability to send individual notification emails for each content item instead of grouping content into a single email, which wasn’t possible in previous versions.

• Subscription Notifier Version 4.0 for Oracle WebCenter is available directly from Fishbowl Solutions. Additional features of Version 4.0 include:

  • Subscriptions and queries can be defined using a graphical user interface
  • Subscription schedule supports hourly notification options
  • Subscriptions can run without sending email notifications
  • New Subscriptions can be created by cloning existing Subscriptions
  • Updated Subscription page for enabling, disabling, deleting, or exporting multiple subscriptions
  • Ability to import and export subscriptions
